Unsuccessful entrepreneurs give up too soon

Image
Unsuccessful entrepreneurs give up too soon We hear success stories everyday and the crazy part is the difference between those successful people and the ones that fell off during the journey. Was because their dreams outweighed anything else. They remain determined, and are willing to accept failure as it comes. Adopt this mentality “I have failed 1000 times so i have found 1000 ways that don’t work”. Not “This is impossible” Have you ever realized that what you say normally becomes what you are in the long run. If you tell yourself you can’t do something your mind and body receive it and your entire energy becomes so negative you sabotage your own success. So often we under estimate the importance of self belief but trust me it goes a long long long long way. Start by telling yourself you can, repeat this until you reach a point where the images of what you want become so strong you can almost touch them. Then you will realize eventually that slowly your attitude will change and yo

Make Your Own Path

Simply look at what everyone else is doing and do the opposite. Yes, they may be time where trending events represent opportunities that are working however look at this way. If the industry is flocked by too many people it may suggest opportunity as I said but it also means high competition. Half the time people follow the lead of others simply because it is what everyone else is doing so we are quick to assume that if we also follow suit we will make it. So in a world where people choose mediocrity because it is the safest route simply go in the opposite direction. If you go where other people have never gone you will see what others have never seen, if you do what others have not, you will achieve what others can not. That's how Distributor companies came to be. These are companies that changed the way we see things and do things and the way we live. That is the difference between an average store owner, an unsuccessful entrepreneur and the biggest names in the world today.

Passion VS Money

Image
If you do something you love you are bound to grow more than someone who does it for money. That's the difference between a successful entrepreneur and an unsuccessful one. If you do things for money then when the next paycheck comes in a dollar short or does not come at all your motivation will dwindle. As compared to someone who is passionate, that person will always seek growth even if they may not realize it. They will keep on pushing until they are a master in their art and so often the money just comes flowing all on its own. However we should also be realistic and accept that at the end of the day even if you are passionate you will still need a paycheck to make ends meet. So it will most likely be of benefit to you if you grow your passion as much as possible to stay afloat.

Think big and small

Image
You have to learn to think big and small. You have to go in the same direction with small day-to-day decisions, as well as big actions. Once you are on your way, you will mostly have to occupy yourself with little things, which can be tedious. Nevertheless, you are the one who has to do them right. Gabriel Weinberg, founder, and CEO of DuckDuckGo.   This ability is what makes us entrepreneurs: at times, we have to do the work that has to be done (the small things), even if we’re not great at it and don’t like doing it. Yet, we also have to be able to step back, look at the big picture and give direction to the overall vision. This is the mindset hack we need to harness for business success.

Do the hardest thing first

The hardest thing is usually the thing you should be going after. Chances are nobody else is, or at least very few people are. Personally, I feel comfortable and even thrive when I don’t have a clue what I’m doing. Josh Pigford , founder of Baremetrics   It is essential that you get used to the uncomfortable feeling of not knowing what you’re doing. Whether it's getting on stage to speak, launching your product or writing a book, we tend to see others doing it and (falsely) assume they've always been good at it. We all have to do everything for the first time, and none of us does anything very well the first time. The only way to truly learn about business is to start a business of your own .

Think three steps ahead

Image
I follow my gut. I don’t play chess, but I imagine that if I did, I would think of every opportunity three steps ahead in every possible direction. Even if it seems like something would benefit me in the now, it might not benefit me in the long run. Jessie Shternshus, founder of The ImprovEffect   I love the comparison between entrepreneurship and playing chess. You always have to think three steps ahead. Don’t just ask yourself, “What is happening right now?” but “What will happen three steps from the action I’m going to take today?” You don’t succeed expecting one thing to be your winning ticket in the big entrepreneurial lottery. You have to think long-term and have a vision of where you want to be – that's how to be an entrepreneur.

Believe in yourself and your business

You have to be resilient and able to continue building what you believe is the next best thing. Things you build will often not succeed, but ultimately, those losses will add up to a win, based on what you’ve learned. Todd Garland , founder of BuySellAds.   Todd didn’t just put out BuySellAds and start earning $10 million a year. The process took seven years and was full of struggles, hardship and things not working the way they were supposed to. Those struggles are necessary to achieve success.
